Happy National Day of Traditional Dress !
Today I spent a special day with my friends, It was so fun 😀 Starting the day by walking through the lovely traditional souk where all shops are full of cool lovely clothes, jewelries, nice traditional shoes and other stuff related to Tunisian celebrations like weddings.
I bought a lovely “chachiya” colored in red which is the original color. There is a sign on it in gold called “khlel” which is a part of another type of clothes but here it is used differently decorating the “chachiya“.
My grandma used to wear it with her “hrem“. It is a clothes very known for females living in the village.
I spent all the day wearing the chachiya and I received a lot of complements about it from people I met or even from strangers.
The rest of the day we spent it in a place called “halk wed” a very beautiful beach where we enjoyed the fish menu and the tea. I’m grateful for my country where I can enjoy the sun in the middle of winter and have fun in the sea <3
My origin is my identity I’m very proud to share it with you. I can spend days celebrating it which will really be the case. We will celebrate this day at work next Tuesday with the independence day.
I wish our beautiful country stay safe and blessed ^_^ forever
